kitkat selection box.jpgThis morning's pre-work chores include making kimchi and watching the solar eclipse.

I didn't think we'd get to see anything over this way since it's so cloudy, but the sun's peeking through just in time. Actually, the cloud cover helps, as it smothers some of the brightness. No chance of taking any useful photos, though...  not with my level of photography skill.

As for the kimchi, nothing is allowed to smother the heat and brightness in that... or I'll know the reason why! I've become seriously addicted to Korean food over the last year, and I'm making bulgogi for dinner. And kimchi fried rice. And probably pancakes. And some sesame greens.

Just so I have a reason to open my orginal Japanese import box of weirdly flavoured kitkats for afters, of course!
See....I'm most carefully preparing for our holidays!

Cabbage cut and salted, tea made, eclipse over. If I want to write any fiction this weekend, I need to make a serious dent in my work to-do-list... so virtual office it is and I'll be checking in every hour, just to keep on track.
Here's the plan:

10.15 - 10.45..... research & outline blog article on upper back pain
10.45 - 11.00..... check over author bios and send off to publisher
running about 15mins behind. Looks like I need to build in a bit of slack for distractions, but not too much.
11.15 - 12.30..... April FB plan / client
got about half of that done. Then my England website was discovered by the comment spammers and needed a bit of rescue.  I'll leave the JH marketing plan for the weekend, I think. Client work's more important right now.

2.15 I'm sort of pleased with myself. The kimchi is just this side of evil, I had lunch and I even went out for an hour's walk... just under four miles, up the hill and back down. At that rate, I'll be owing my fitness to Messrs YunMinSu. That's until I remembered why I usually talk myself out of going for a walk when I'm busy. I came back with two great scenes for FanBait, all beautifully arranged in my head. If I don't wanna lose them... so...

now  - 3.30..... draft FanBait scenes
that took a bit longer than expected and I stopped at 1000 words added, even though neither scene is complete. But I got the gist down and that's what mattered. Hopefully, the Muse will let me pick up later.

3.30 - 4.30..... finish April FB plan for client
That took me all the way to 6pm. I really need to remember that FB is a bitch and takes four times as long as it should! Grrrrr.... still, it's done. Planned, written and scheduled, which is a little more than I had on my to-do-list, so I won't have to bother with the horrid stuff until the end April.

4.30 - 5.30..... research and outline blog articles on lower back pain and stress
5.30 - 6.00..... build a Twitter widget and update client website
Leftovers. To be done at the weekend.

And now we close the Virtual Office for this week, go pour a glass of wine and start to cook up a (Korean) storm before my other half gets home. We've both earned it!
